BARASTI BEACH STADIUM AT LE MERIDIEN MINA SEYAHI
A fully air conditioned stadium is being built on Barasti beach. With the capacity to accommodate approximately 1200 guests Barasti will be showing all the action from the forthcoming Football in South Africa in the Barasti Beach Stadium.

Barasti has partnered with Carlsberg to deliver a true Football experience. African + Eastern and Carlsberg are delighted to be involved with another first for Dubai and Barasti. “After months of careful planning and collaboration, we are looking forward to a fantastic summer trading period in the Barasti Beach Stadium” commented David Beattie, Sales Manager, African + Eastern.
Barasti has also once again teamed up with their preferred radio partner, Arabian Radio Network’s channels Dubai 92, City and Virgin radio to promote the Barasti Beach Stadium. Steve Smith, COO, Arabian Radio Network, said: “We are glad to offer our radio platforms to back this event through our partnership with Barasti. With the scale and optimum viewing opportunities that the Dome will provide, we are confident it will prove to be one of the most popular venues for football fans in the UAE right through the football season. Our radio platforms – Dubai 92, City 101.6 and Virgin Radio Dubai – will ensure our listeners connect with the Barasti Stadium and contribute to the high-voltage action that will soon take centre-stage at the venue.”
“The Barasti Beach Dome is quite simply a brilliant venue from which to enjoy all the football. 7DAYS is very excited to be Barasti’s official newspaper partner from 23rd May to 11th July and there can be no doubt that readers will respond very strongly to the ‘Barasti build-up’ from late May and the Beach Dome venue during the finals will be nothing less than a huge success.” Mark Rix- CEO 7 Days.
The Mega Dome is 35 metres in circumference and with a height of 17.5 metres and weighing over 20 tonnes, creating a perfect semi-sphere of over 5 storeys high. It will take up residence on Barasti Beach with the opening scheduled for the 10th June 2010 and is the first time this remarkable structure has been seen in Dubai.
Entrance is free and Barasti Beach Stadium will be open from 2pm to 2.30am daily, with a 270 tonne air conditioning unit providing a super cool environment. The enormous screen, showing every exciting game, 12 metres wide, is the equivalent of watching an area the size of 100 television sets.
“We are very excited to bring the Barasti Beach Stadium to Barasti. We have worked closely with our partners to ensure that once again Barasti delivers a fantastic experience to our customers. Barasti Beach Stadium will provide Barasti with the perfect air conditioned environment as well as an unrivalled football experience!” Comments Tolga Lacin, Executive Assistant Manager of Food and Beverage, Mina Seyahi Complex.
